- Does a DJ work for a corporate event with 400 or more guests?
- Yes. Galas, summer parties and company celebrations with several hundred guests make up a large part of my year, from Telekom and Deutsche Bahn to Borussia Dortmund. There is room above that: at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas it was 16,000 guests, a corporate event, with a live band on a 360° stage. What matters is not the number but that timing, technical setup and music fit the room.
- What does a DJ for a corporate event cost?
- It depends on duration, travel and scope: playing time, setup, live musicians, my own equipment or your event production. Travel costs are listed as a separate item in the quote. Send me the date, venue and format and you will receive a reply within 24 hours and a concrete quote rather than a price list.
- Do you play quietly during dinner and for dancing later?
- Yes, that is the standard case at a corporate event. Quiet enough for conversation during the reception, the party after the programme. The transition is not a switch but an hour in which level and tempo rise until the first tables empty.
- How far in advance should we book a DJ for a company celebration?
- As early as your date is fixed. Summer and December dates are often taken months ahead. Short-notice enquiries are still normal: write to me and you will hear within 24 hours whether the date is free.
- Do you bring your own equipment or play through the event production?
- I play through your event production or bring my own setup. On productions with a technical supplier I coordinate console, signal path and soundcheck directly with the team. What I need, we settle in the briefing, which is short.
- What happens in case of illness or technical failure?
- We cover contingency in the briefing: backup equipment and a fallback plan are part of every corporate event for me. You know before the event what happens if something happens, and who your point of contact is then.
- Can you perform with live musicians?
- Yes. Saxophone, drums and vocals can be added to the DJ set on request. At Parookaville 2025, sax and drums were on stage next to me; in Dubrovnik it was a DJ set with a live band. You book the musicians through me, one invoice, one point of contact.
- Who registers GEMA for a corporate event?
- GEMA registration (German music licensing) is the organiser's responsibility. I provide the details you need for it. For agencies this is routine; with in-house teams I am happy to go through the form with you once.
- Do you also play outside NRW?
- Yes. Based in Dortmund, 60 minutes from Düsseldorf, Cologne and Essen. Germany-wide and international. Berlin, Budapest, Dubrovnik and Las Vegas have all been in the calendar. I organise travel, setup and coordination with the technical crew on site, and travel costs are listed as a separate item in the quote.
