- How do you tailor the music to our brand?
- In the brand briefing. You send reference tracks, the campaign, the moodboard or simply the spot, plus your no-gos. From that I build a musical direction for the evening, which I check with you beforehand. What I play and when, I decide in the room, within the frame we have set.
- What does a DJ for a product launch cost?
- It depends on duration, travel and scope: playing time including soundcheck, location, live musicians, equipment. Travel costs are listed as a separate item in the quote. Send the date, venue and programme and you will receive a reply within 24 hours and a concrete quote.
- Do you also play influencer events and pop-ups?
- Yes. Influencer events, creator dinners and pop-ups are a case of their own: the music has to work in the room and at the same time in the stories being created that evening. I play sets that sound good through a phone microphone as well, and adjust the level when content is being produced.
- Does the music work for reels and stories too?
- Yes, the sets are built for that: clear drops, recognisable songs in new edits, no mush when a phone picks up the sound. What your brand publishes on its own channels depends on the rights to the music; you clear that with the rights holders. GEMA registration (German music licensing) is the organiser's responsibility. I provide the details you need for it.
- Can you deliver sound for presentation, reveal and party?
- Yes, that is the core of a launch evening. Walk-in with a tone that fits the brand, presentation with calm and cues for host and video, a reveal with a moment that lands. Quiet enough for conversation during the reception, the party after the programme. Every cue is in the timing plan and rehearsed with the technical crew and host before doors.
- What is the difference between DJ and DJ with live musicians?
- As a DJ I play the set alone, which is enough for most launches. With live musicians, saxophone, drums or vocals play live over the set. That means more stage, more picture for cameras and stories, and a moment guests film. You book both through me.
- How long does the briefing before a launch take?
- One call with your brand team or agency, plus a short check once the final schedule is fixed. The closer the date, the more compact it gets. Short-notice enquiries are normal, reply within 24 hours.
- Which brands have you worked with?
- The Gayuma launch in Berlin, Don Papa Rum in Berlin, Hamburg and at Parookaville, Gerolsteiner Weinplaces in Cologne. Plus corporate events for Telekom, Deutsche Bahn, Volkswagen and Borussia Dortmund. The full list is on the homepage.
- Do you travel to Berlin or Hamburg for a launch?
- Yes, regularly. Based in Dortmund, 60 minutes from Düsseldorf, Cologne and Essen. Germany-wide and international. I have played Gayuma and Don Papa in Berlin, Don Papa in Hamburg as well. Travel costs are listed as a separate item in the quote.
