Technical setup and live musicians in the Ruhr area
I play through your event production or bring my own setup. For venues in Dortmund and the Ruhr area my own setup is often the simpler route, because travel and setup from the storage are short. On productions with a technical supplier I coordinate console, signal path and soundcheck directly with the team.
Live musicians can be added on request: saxophone, drums or vocals over the DJ set, as in 2025 on the Jungle of Memories stage at Parookaville. We cover contingency in the briefing: backup equipment and a fallback plan are part of every corporate event for me. In the Ruhr area the fallback plan has one advantage: I live around the corner.
What an event DJ in Dortmund costs
Three factors determine the price. Duration, meaning playing time plus setup and soundcheck. Travel, without an overnight stay in the Ruhr area and NRW. And live musicians and equipment, depending on whether I play through the venue's event production or bring the setup.

On productions with a technical supplier I coordinate directly with the team. GEMA registration (German music licensing) is the organiser's responsibility. I provide the details you need for it.
- Can you be booked at short notice in Dortmund?
- If the date is free, yes. Short-notice enquiries are normal. In the Ruhr area the logistics that a trip to Berlin or Hamburg needs fall away; a briefing call is enough.
